De Het Rules is designed to work without intentionally collecting personal data from app users.

Who is responsible for this policy
Brooks Solutions & Services operates De Het Rules and is responsible for this Privacy Policy. You can contact us about privacy at contact@mail.brooks.solutions.
App data stored on your device
The app may save learning-related information on your device so the app can function between sessions. This may include practice progress, article choices, mistakes, memorized words, review recommendations, language preferences, theme settings, haptics settings, onboarding progress, and other app settings.
This local app data is used to provide the learning experience you request. It is not intended to be transmitted to us, used for advertising, sold, or shared with data brokers.
Personal data we do not intentionally collect
We do not intentionally collect names, email addresses, account credentials, contact lists, precise location, photos, audio recordings, advertising identifiers, or payment card details through the app. The app is not designed to create user accounts or send your learning history to our servers.
If a future version of the app introduces features that require personal data, such as accounts, cloud backup, sync, analytics, subscriptions managed by us, or personalized services, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe what is collected, why it is collected, the legal basis where applicable, how long it is kept, and the choices available to users.
Website and technical information
When you visit this website, standard technical information may be processed by the hosting provider or basic web infrastructure needed to deliver the site, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, timestamps, and error logs. We use this information only as necessary to operate, secure, debug, and maintain the website.
We do not currently use website analytics, behavioral advertising profiles, or marketing pixels on this website. If that changes, this Privacy Policy should be updated before or when those tools are added.
App stores, purchases, and third-party services
If you download De Het Rules from the Apple App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google may process information under their own privacy policies and platform terms. If the app offers paid features, in-app purchases, or subscriptions through an app store, payment processing is handled by the relevant app store provider, not directly by us.
The app may rely on operating-system services that are necessary for app installation, updates, crash handling by the platform, purchase validation by the platform, or device-level settings. These services are governed by the platform provider's terms and privacy notices.
Support emails and direct contact
If you contact us by email, we will receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message content, attachments, and any technical details you include. We use that information to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, protect our legal interests, and maintain appropriate business records.
Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request.
Legal bases where GDPR applies
Where the General Data Protection Regulation or similar laws apply, our legal bases may include performance of a contract or taking steps at your request, legitimate interests in operating and securing the app and website, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where a future feature requires consent.
Because the app is currently designed not to intentionally collect personal data from users, most app learning data remains local to your device and is not processed by us as server-side personal data.
How long information is kept
Local app data remains on your device unless you delete it, reset the app, uninstall the app, or use device settings that remove it. Support emails and business records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, legal, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, and business-administration purposes.
Sharing of information
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited information only when necessary with service providers who help operate the website, app store providers who distribute the app or process app-store purchases, legal or professional advisers, authorities when required by law, or another party in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the services we operate. No app, website, or electronic communication method can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. Users are responsible for protecting their own devices, operating-system accounts, backups, and app-store accounts.
Your choices and rights
You can control local app data through your device, app settings, and uninstall options. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or review of certain data practices.
Because we do not intentionally collect app user data at this time, we may not have server-side personal data that can be matched to an app user unless you have contacted us directly or a third-party platform provides relevant records under its own systems.
Children
De Het Rules is a language-learning app and is not designed to intentionally collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent personal data to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it where required.
International availability
The app and website may be available in multiple countries. If you use them from outside the country where we operate, information you send to us, such as support emails, may be processed in a different country from where you live.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the policy date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Future changes to this Privacy Policy do not mean that we collected data before those updates; they describe practices from the updated policy date onward unless the policy clearly says otherwise.
